He picks up his coaster, sets the mug/glass on the table and holds the coaster.

Stands there announcing he is ready – runners on the wrong feet – looks like the sweetest 5 year old.

Holds his jacket by the bottom and also, has it backwards.

Puts mugs or glasses in the dishwasher, open side up.

Opens a can of food for Bulging Buddy and puts the food on the lid instead of in the cat dish. One time I didn’t catch it and wondered what the funny noise was – yup, Buddy chasing a 2″ x 2″ lid around the kitchen, trying to eat.

Announces that it will soon be snowing.

Sleeps in his jeans (if I miss his getting into bed) and puts his PJ’s on in the morn.

I read this and wonder how it can be? Pilot, accountant, wonderful father, electro-technologist. I could go on and on.  Oh, that’s right, he should have kept his mind busy.

Have a blood curdling scream saved up for the next time I hear/see/ or read that. Just kidding, I’m wondering how much bearing it has. Perhaps persons who just veg thru life may be more apt to develop AD but my guy used his to the limit. End of rant or wondering.

It sounds like his ‘body clock’ is out of whack with ‘normal’ time. Maybe a reset is in order.

Organized people use structure to operate by. Pilots use checklists, accountants use EXCEL, etc. so there is probably an underlying methodology in the madness. It is just figuring out what his mind sees for those reactions.

Trying days ahead but with insight and love it may be a blessed journey into the unknown.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Jean.

Ever heard of a primal scream? It really helps!

Jean–of course you feel like screaming when you read that. I actually have not seen it for a while.
My MIL managed a store and could do math like a whiz–and then with AD forgot how to count.
The causes of AD are far more complex.
But the effects are so hard to take.

(I did have to giggle at the mental image of overstuffed Buddy chasing a small can lid around trying to eat.)

I have a theory that “those in the know” want to believe we have some control over what happens to us. So, they say things like “Keep your mind busy and you won’t get A.D.” or “Eat antioxidant-rich food and you won’t get cancer.” It makes them feel better. They have no idea the impact it has on those who are suffering. You’re entitled to a scream. Hugs, Annette

I liked Annette’s theory….”those in the know” want us to think/blieve that we have control over life. You are more than entitled to a scream…I acutally had one over a year and a half ago and it really released alot of pent up stress. Had no idea it was coming, but it did work wonders. You both are in my prayers. Praying for your heart. Blessings on your day. ary Lou

A good scream might do you good and I too had to giggle at the dog having to chase his food all around the room.

Hugs to you, Jean. You’re a much stronger person than I.

Jean, I will join you in the blood-curdling scream!!! I also like it when people suggest that Dad do crossword puzzles, because that will cure AD!

We have no control over this beast, I am convinced of that.

Thinking of you and praying for you and W.

    Love, Laura

To All you Bloggers – - -Ta, da!

No one has ever said something like this, rest assured. I do get well meaning emails fro ill informed associates on this subject.

how much more could Wayne have used his brain? It’s a mute point at this juncture.

Carry on is all we can do – and we will.
