Buddy “starts” at 5 a.m. – he knows it’s useless to bug Wayne – a freight train could barrel thru our bedroom – maybe he’d roll over.
Anyway, Buddy crawls up on Wayne to try to out stare and intimidate me – as if, Buddy. Today was funny, Wayne’s so asleep that he’s patting and stroking the pillow, not Buddy.
Buddy follows Wayne’s hand, then appears to stare at the wall trying to digest what’s happening, looks at me, “What’s going on, Mom?” It was all I could do to not burst out laughing.
Wayne always defends Buddy saying he has a brain the size of a pea (so forgive him for whatever) – think “Dad” was right, Buddy.
What always amazes me is how Buddy hangs on to Wayne - like a small ship in a storm – on nights when his body is suffering from extreme spasms, Buddy rides it out. I think it may be called love or being a true buddy.
Blessings

He is truly a good “buddy”.
I can totally relate to the whole pets waking you up thing. Mine wouldn’t dream of waking anyone but me.
I think he has a special ‘sense’ for a special man. Animals are like that – loyal.
I agree with chatty crone. I think buddy senses that Wayne needs him.

Buddy is well named. I am always struck with how intuitive animals can be–tuning in without having to be told.
I’m so happy Wayne has Buddy in his life. They’re so good together, aren’t they?
Animals always sense when something is wrong – or different. One of our cats (who had never paid much attention to mr. kenju) slept on his bed from the time mr. kenju had the stroke until 3-4 months later. He could not be persuaded to move off that bed!
The men were angels to let Wayne help but Buddy is also an angel sent straight to you guys from heaven. Blessings on you three:)
I’ve never been owned by a cat — but totally believe in the almost-surreal bonds that exist. What I wouldn’t give to hear my own dog’s throughts! Granny Annie’s right … they’re heaven-sent!
I got brave and put my picture on it – thought what the heck! Hope you had a nice Saturday.
What a cat!
Animals are so intuitive. I’m thankful you both have “buddy”.
