He requested we go to the place “they rent books”. When I told him they were free to read, he was delighted. I suspect he remembers my paying library fines and thought we rented them!

I started looking at books, then noticed he was just standing, not doing anything. “Aren’t you going to choose some books?”

He pointed to their “closed” sign hanging on the inside of the door, “Can’t, they’re closed.”
