“I’ll be an old man before I figure it out!” He was laughing at his inability to get settled on the chaise lounge.

We haven’t  taken our patio furniture out of the garage for  2 or 3 years. This weekend, our family helped us wash it all and set it up.

After everyone left Sunday, we decided to sit out, read and enjoy the birds. We were both laughing as he tried to “get on the lounge”. At one point her was lying across it on his back.  I could not explain it well enough for him to understand how to do it. He is very agile yet and would try various positions all the while asking me,”Like this?”

Finally I got up and patted the spot he should plant his bottom. It would sound like fiction to explain all the goings on.

After much ado, we both sat on a lounge, exhausted:)

I’m sorry that you have been having a difficult time – I hope that your visit with family was good. And I’m glad that you and W were both laughing!

W still shines through. Awesome and difficult for both of you. Thinking of you these tough times and always.

Man, the mind and all it attibutes is just amazing to me. How we can lose it and why does that happen – will we ever know? I guesss it is called faith.

Situations like this are just things we never think about which is why the information you share with us is so valuable. Especially when some of us are dealing with AD in our own families. HUGS

As Chatty says…the mind is amazing…and yet, his sense of humore remains intact, which helps yours too!
    God’s small gift!

Maybe he should try a chair next time, if the lounge is too hard to figure out.

I feel like him today. I was on the deck reading on my lounge and felt a nap coming on. I tried to get comfortable on my side, but it was impossible. I turned on my stomach and that was impossible, too. I finally gave up after 20 minutes and went back to reading.

Tough times. Maybe a chair would be better. Good thing you can laugh sometimes.
