I tend to “go over the day” when I’m sitting alone. Some days have been real winners and some not.

As we climb this mountain, I am getting a bit nervous. Like weather high on the peaks, things change quickly and I wonder/worry and stew about what’s next.

AD manifested itself in 2000 so I am very grateful to have had him “at home” so many years. In December 2003, our geriatric specialist told me that I’d have Wayne home 2 good years – it’s been over 5 years now since the doctor said that.

Jean–that you have helped W remain at home longer than doctors predicted is ABSOLUTELY a testament to your wonderful loving care.

KGMom said it best. Wayne is home because of you. God Bless you both.

I agree with the others. It’s only because of you that he’s still there 5 years instead of only the 2 predicted by the “specialist”. Now who’s the specialist of this situation?? Yes….YOU, my dear. HUGS

I also agree….you have been and continue to be a thoughtful and loving caregiver to him…he has done so well because of you….

I’m a worrier by nature, too, so I won’t beg you not to (fret). Don’t-cha just love it, besting the Medical community’s statistics?! Hope your tomorrow’s a winner.

Because of the care, and understanding you give your beloved, is the reason he’s done so well, for so long.

It does seem though, that changes are coming…and are more apparent in your daily living.

What a gift, and a struggle, days filled with wonderment and woe. Life at its worse, and its best.

You have the gift inside you to see these things.

Hard not to think about the future and what all it holds. But for you, the cup is always half full. Having Wayne home no doubt has helped him not slip so quickly. You’re earning eternal rewards for your loving care. It really is such a beautiful love story you tell. Love you, Annette

Nine years since his diagnosis. What a miracle.
