Today was an interesting look at his reaction to day care. The nurse who “admits/checks” everyone in, greeted him at the door. Her smile is dazzling and she so genuinely says, “Hello, Wayne!”
He kind of lowered his head, perhaps his lower lip was low, too, because he was in no mood to socialize.
I left asap, hoping he would be Ok.
Arriving back 10 minutes before necessary, he and a nurse were sitting outside. She smiled a knowing smile at me. Later she called me on the cell and said he knew I’d be early and wanted to sit out and watch for me. Sweet.
Jean–I am constantly amazed at how wonderful the various health caretakers are–with W, and with you.
Do you only write about the good ones? Or all they all good?
Ah, the angels that surround your life. Prayers and hugs.
The important question is…..do you spend your free time getting that much needed rest and not worrying? I hope so.

Donna,so far all the care takers have been great. This particular one also does his home care so we know her well.
Mary Lou, nearly all the people we encounter have been good to us. If someone reacts poorly, I try to get a moment aone to explain he had AD so act accordingly.
Midlife Slices, Free time is 90% rest. Thanks.
Oh so very sweet, (((Jean))).
