So family is coming for Thanksgiving – I am so grateful.

We have always said, “the more the merrier” so bring them on! This year, especially, we will be grateful to have journeyed thru 9 or more long years. It’s incredibly wonderful he is still home.

Out comes the “planning book” – have to get my meals organized, lists made and house sparkled.

Seems a long way ahead but September is just around the corner – can you believe it? We used to journey to Nova Scotia the first 2 weeks of September – wonderful memories.

It’s always great to have something to look forward to doing. Don’t work yourself to the bone or you won’t be able to enjoy yourself.

Nova Scotia is on my bucket list…have always wanted to experience it. I love the rocky coast of Maine, and expect that NS has the same.
Taking some of the focus off W, and being able to plan ahead with expectation should help a little on darker days. Bless ya.

Thanks, Chatty,I hadn’t seen that site before. As I read thru it, I learned some new info.

Midlife, my bones are buried deeper than any ol’ house work could cause:) But you know how it is, gotta dust and polish when guests are coming.

Corgidogmama, I hope you make it to NS some day – it’s so beautiful, lush, green and Cape Breton def. is rocky in areas.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the sparkle. Your guests won’t mind and if you try to claan everything, it may make you too tired to enjoy your guests.

Yikes! Thanksgiving! I’m still very much in summer mode. Nice to look forward to guests coming. 9 years is a long time and I’m glad he’s still home with you.

P.S. I meant to say that September we used to head out to Ogunquit, Maine (or August) or both. I do miss those trips. I miss the fun and carefree lifestyle we had back then. Just memories now…, but they’re good ones!
