Some days Wayne won’t eat or very, very little – maybe he’s sick of my cooking:) A recent discovery, he will eat at Tim Horton’s. Actually, it’s not too bad, I know their menu rather well now and have decided Caesar chicken is my fav.
It’s interesting in that he always requests coffee at Tim’s but any place else, it’s juice or pop. (He must associate the coffee/Tim thing)
We usually go at dusk to have something to do in the evening – plus, that’s after I have offered various selections from my menu, “Sir, we have very tender roast beef and all the trimmings, made specially for you by Chef Jean.”
Now he heads for “our” table and patiently waits while I order. Often all he wants is soup so I take an offering “to go” which he eats as soon as we are home.
Have I told you that I hate you AD? Many times.
I’m a member of the “I hate AD” club too.

I’m a member of that club too!
This reminds me of how often my hubby and I used to go to Tim Horton’s. Hubby adores their coffee. He likes their soup and thick white toast smothered with strawberry jam. He likes their cinnamon buns and we would usually share one. Now, I pick up coffee for us and sometimes a couple of timbits for him (see how well I know their menu? LOL).
When he was in hospital 2 years ago, I arrived at the crack of dawn (knowing how he’d be drooling for his coffee) with coffee, toast and jam. For lunch I bopped out and got him a soup. He was soooooo grateful for what I considered simple comfort food.
So Tim Horton’s is fine with me – if it makes him happy, why not?
Actually, I think going to Tim Horton’s is a very creative way to handle things.
You don’t have to go to the trouble of preparing something that may or may not get eaten.
Tim Hortons’ menu isn’t half bad, if you eliminate all the yummy baking. I do like their sandwiches. You are such a creative person in dealing with your challenges.
My mom told me after my dad had AD he lost his sense of taste. He always complained everything tasted the same. Poor guy.
