He was very quiet tonight.
“Tell me a story, Hon.”
He protested that he doesn’t remember any stories to tell. With a little encouragement I had stories galore from way back in the 50′s and 60′s.
We sat here, an evening spent quietly together. Nice.
His flying days basically have flown from his memory. I showed him some pictures – in one he is gassing up the plane before we took off. “That’s not me. That guy is skinny.” (Ah, Darling, and your point is – - -)
We have pics of my mother and father lifting our sons from the aircraft – he didn’t know anyone. Tomorrow he may.

When Wayne was still able to cut the lawn, if it rained on cutting day, I’d tease him that he’d been out on the deck doing a rain dance. It was really uncanny how many times “it worked for him”.

Today, after his meal, I told him we’d shower after his tummy settled. All of a sudden, terrible thunder and lightening started.

I poked my head in the living room, “Have you been rain dancing again?”

His smile was a mile wide and he had both thumbs up! He has an early appointment tomorrow and I wanted his shower done tonight – mornings are not a good thing in our life:)

I’m always excited to learn the “real name” of a blogger I read. Recently, I learned Midlifeslices is Janie. Happy, happy, I go to my links and add her name after her web address – guess what, folks, that doesn’t work:)
For several days I have been trying to bring up her site -course, wouldn’t work.
I thought of the old trick, when the computer won’t work (for me), I just shut it down and voila, then it works.
Edited the link and actually removed it, re-entered it (without the Janie!) and I’m back in business.
I think this is truly a forest for the trees situation.
Anyway, go over to her site, very interesting and very important post to read.
