We had a confusing afternoon.

To try to get Life rewired, I brought the kitchen stool close and suggested he watch me make dinner. It didn’t work but I talked all the while trying to “twig” a memory of something, anything.(The care aide told me that he recounted how he had to rush to get his work done in order to take the boys and I flying – that would be in the 60’s and 70’s – it gave me hope)

Set our milk glasses on the table with the milk – he couldn’t do it – sometimes he is able.

We ate, I washed a couple things by hand. Just as I’m finishing he strolled over to the sink, “Where’s the t-towel, I’ll dry those for you.” My heart skipped a beat, he’s back, he’s back.

There were only 3 items. I was occupied putting food away, turned around and the 3 items are gone! Checked the laundry room and garage – maybe they are in another room.

My heart felt like smashing pumpkins – splut. Hopefully tomorrow – - -

He was back . Just the dishes got misplaced. I turn moms chair around so she can watch me do dishes or cook sometimes. But she doesn’t like it.Good Luck.
I read somewhere if you put labels on the cabinets and drawers that helps. I never did it for mom but it might work.

After reading many of your last posts, it seems he is getting much worse. This is what is suppose to happen with this disease but no one tells you how to deal with it…….Heartbreaking.

    Hi Jean,
It’s so heartbreaking to walk this walk! It’s so thrilling when there’s something that goes right, however small it might be, we know there’ll be disappointment right around the corner.

David was ranting this morning that the zipper on his pants wasn’t where it was before…..I zipped his pants, and then he was angry with me for finding the zipper.

    Your in my prayers!
    Love,
    Dolores
