Every so often, he says, “Where did everyone go?”

It caught me by surprise last night and I asked who he meant.

“They came in that door like they always do.”

This went on and on in variations but basically the same question. Finally I told him they had to work so went home. He remained puzzled and perplexed all evening.

Then the story of people coming out of the walls and floors started. I put the quilt back down on the floor in front of his chair but this time he could still see the people. He refused the pill he has for this kind of situation.

When we saw the specialist, he said he’d better see us in January instead of March. I guess he could tell how things were sliding.

Too bad Wayne wouldn’t take the pill. So far, David is good about taking his meds., but that may change.

David sees people on top of our neighbors house quite often. Not only does this awful Alzheimer’s take away their memory, but it adds these ‘sightings.’

It was good to hear that he recognized your son’s voice on the telephone.

It’s 4am and I can’t sleep…… think I’ll go back to bed and try again to sleep.

Can you smash the pill and put it in applesauce? That’s what they did for my mom.

I had no idea AD caused “sightings”. I guess the whole entire brain gets cross wired and the signals are so mixed up. It’s just so sad and makes me furious at the same time.

Mom talks to people on the wall or coming out of the walls all the time. And she ask me where Dad is or went all the time. I just tell her he is a work. I like it when she talks to the wall . Because she is smiling. I wonder who she see’s because they make her happy.

    oh yes…the sightings…
have heard of this, but imagine it’s rather unnerving to experience.
    lots of things happening lately.
you’re very understanding with all the ups and downs.
    damn AD!

Oh dear, my mom always had ‘people’ in at night, they would sit on her bed and talk to her. Thank heavens it didn’t frighten her; it certainly unnerved me!
