So it seems I’m always in the middle of “preparing” but now I have a new situation.
After talking with several family, it may be that I’ll rent our home for a bit and let me sort life out.
It’s a bit intimidating an idea but I thought I’d approach our local RCMP office, schools and fire station.
Wayne built a wonderful room for me – it’s a combo extra guest room, storage and a place for me. He did the finishing touches in 2000, barely able to do the work. I didn’t know.
Anyway, I think I’ll lock it up and store some special items in there til I’m settled.
(Note: This was a huge room in itself but we wanted in-house storage also. I got the idea one night to “take” 24″ from 2 sides of the room. Wayne built floor to ceiling shelves, closed them in with doors to match the wall color. They are barely visible unless one knows the situation. Just an idea if you are needing one:)
I don’t know how you handle all you have to do and I hope you find lovely renters and get things sorted out.
I had to reread the “Note” because first I thought it said 24′ (I shouldn’t try to read without my glasses) and I pictured a huge HUGE room…….and I was jealous of all your storage. hehehe…….. That idea is great and I’ve seen it in only a few of the homes I’ve listed/sold but it’s always a big selling point.
Jean, it sounds like you’re making some wise decisions. I know it isn’t easy, but the more simplified your life becomes, …. the easier it will be for you!
What a great idea you and Wayne had for your storage space back in 2000. Now you have a place to keep your special items….
Love,
dolores
Gosh, it’s so hard to know what to do. What an upheaval at this time in your life.
Hugs
Jean–I am catching up (now that the wedding is all over–will write about it soon).
Sorry to hear that things are slipping.
Of course, we know they will–slip. But it is still wrenching when it happens.
Constant thoughts and prayers for you, and Wayne. For peace, for wisdom, for courage, for acceptance, for discernment.
I think it’s always a good idea to give yourself some time before making any big decisions. You continue to amaze me.
Hugs,SMB
Oh, I hope you get good renters. And I hope everything turns out just fine for all. Making decisions is very hard for me. Good luck, you are doing great like always.
Much love and hugs and many blessings to you
Love Jeanne
Be careful of renters………….
I am proud of all you achieve
I wish I were half as organized as you. I’m trying to do better! Good luck and you have my blessings in whatever you decide to do about renting the house.
Jean, does that mean that Wayne will go into full time care? I guess it does – or maybe he already has and I missed seeing it.
