I guess one gets so used to “helping and doing” you don’t even realize.

The other day a care aide told me that Wayne has a dickens of a time with his shirt.

Last night I watched as he grabbed his jammie top, turning it every way possible to no avail. Finally I offered to help. He laughed and said it would be Easter before he figured it out! Still smiling.

We sat on the bed, side by side. He looked over at me and asked, “Will I ever be normal again?”

I couldn’t talk for a bit and just held him.

“Do you mean your memory?”

“No, my memory is fine. Me, will I ever be normal?”

(I tell you, it rips me apart. Wonder what he perceives and understands. Also, maybe he is receiving messages from brain to body parts(?) which are confusing him.
Tomorrow I’ll call the specialist, maybe he can set my mind at ease.)

I will post soon – first I need to catch up on blogs and clear my mind. There have been many issues including lost wireless connection – have it for a minute and then off again. Very frustrating. Quick thank you for all the folks who emailed. You’re loved and appreciated, that is for sure. It’s so wonderful how total strangers, never having met you in person, support and send so much love to both Wayne and I. I’m grateful and truly thankful.

Hope you are all well in blogland.
