It was wonderful to see residents keeping time to the Christmas music. Most are much further along in their disease than Wayne is so I was happy some were able to clap their hands or sing along.
One fellow was just really “into it” basically acting as a conductor of musicans.
The annual Christmas tea was very memorable.
Wayne and I sat with a couple. She is the resident. They are on thier second marriage and she was diagnosed 5 years into it.
Kudos to the volunteers and staff for such a lovely few hours.
(Sorry I have not updated as I should. His care home is about 40 km. away so time is of the essence. Tomorrow, I’ll try to read blogs – it’s been awhile since I sat down and reconnected – always think of everyone, though.)
