That song says it all, we are having poor weather with lots of snow. Didn’t go to the care home yesterday and may not today. I am fine as have winter, studded tires but others drive crazily in this mess.
Actually, last night a former co-worker called that he was going to visit – he lives near the home. I was very happy to hear that. Wayne would have been delighted to have a visitor.
Will update on the blanket saga once I go there again.
Thank you for your kind words of support – the loss of something large like a blanket puzzles me.
It’s usually the other drivers you have to worry about, for sure. I’m glad Wayne had a visitor and I hope you’re staying warm and cozy in your home. We’re getting a bit of cold weather here in Texas, although Monday it was a beautiful 75 degrees. You just never know what each day will bring….weather or otherwise.

I hate to say this – but sometimes in nursing homes things do go missing – at my mom’s too. I’m sure you labeled everything. I’m sorry about the weather – but it probably was best you staying home – other drivers scare me too.

Definitely be careful on those roads if the weather is bad! I hope you are able to find the blanket – I’m shocked at how many people in the comments had similar stories!
I’m 68 years young…. and “ONE” time I’ve driven in icy weather. ….. Ok, you can definitely tell that I’m from south Texas. Be careful….. and I’m so glad to hear that Wayne had a visitor, and you could relax and not worry about him having someone ‘there’….stay safe!
Hugs,
Dolores
I’m looking forward to some cooler weather this weekend. You are right to stay home when the weather is bad. People are crazy on the roads in bad weather. Glad Wayne still had a visitor.
Hugs
It’s good that other want to visit him; I’m sure he appreciates it. Sorry about the weather; we are supposed to get snow this weekend and I am not looking forward to it.
You will lose things in that home even if you do label them. Thieves don’t worry about labels.
