Took Wayne out for an hour or so on Friday. He has never forgotten his love of books. Going by a bin of sale books, he stopped, browsed thru some and chose one. I suggested he look more if he wanted to. “Is that Ok? You can never have too many books.”
I had to smile inside as he is definitely a man with too many books:)
We decided on coffee/ muffin there but soon as I sat down, I knew the busyness was bothering him. We headed to a quite corner at the Tim Horton’s restaurant. He enjoyed a chocolate doughnut with milk.
About 4pm I washed him up and tucked him into bed for a rest before dinner.
I belong to the “you can never have too many books” camp too.

Jean–you are a trooper (as they say). I am so glad you have these times with Wayne. Put them in your memory “bank” along with the many good times.
I can tell you are a caregiver….such loving, caring for him….it never stops, does it?
Is he able to read the books?
I hope he IS able to read them. I am of the same opinion!
I am so glad you can have these special times but then be able to rest and not have to keep watch all night long; It is a perfect blend. I hope you are able to adjust to this change and enjoy both of your times.
See…you’re still dating~
That’s nice about having a place so close that you can take him to. Sandie
