So I bought a poster size paper (at the Dollar store) with sports figures down the side. Printed his name on it hoping this will help.
Took Wayne round and round letting him “find” his door on his own – didn’t work well but may get better.
Anyway, all is well.
Two former co-workers took him for lunch today so he’ll probably sleep well this afternoon.

Sometimes the things we do for our loved one ends up being more for ourselves……the phone (picture I have on my blog) is great for David to pick up and answer. I put a picture of me, wrote 911, and our best friend’s picture on the 3 buttons and told him if I’m gone and he’s concerned about anything, to pick up the phone and press a picture…. I’ve gone over this with David so many times, but I’ve given up, he can’t do it.
Hoping the picture will work for Wayne!

I would think that as time goes on, he will be able to recognize “his” picture on the door. I sure hope so.
I’ve got my fingers crossed!
How about a photo of you on the door? Or of you with him? On a bad day, he may not remember his own face, but yours would mean something.
