So, I had wondered how the nurses knew when Wayne got out of bed – there is a soft bell attached to his bed, if his weight is removed from the bed, it chimes at the nursing station.

This is especially useful in the night as he is prone to wandering a bit now.

    My mom had one – it’s great and helps a lot. They do try to watch them and take care of them as best as possible. sandie

    When mom used to get up and down all night. I put a bell on her walker. It was great.

    They don’t have bells where Elbert is. They do check on them often but maybe bells would be a good idea. I worry about him falling. I am glad that you have that assurance where Wayne is.
