The activity aide asked me for a solution. Wayne is afarid of the clowns brought in for the monthly birthday parties. It is such that he needs meds to settle him down.
I suggested she take him to another area of supervision and give him cake. Once the party is over, he could come back to his ward.
Was impressed she offered to cancel clowns but I told her that’s unfair for the residents who get a laugh from them.
Been wondering if it were clowns he saw coming out of the walls and floors a few months ago – I covered the floors with sheets and blankets but the walls were def. a problem.
Was he scared as a child by a clown? Questions – - -
So, my laptop is sick again. I may just put it out of its misery. Funny how addicted I am to sitting around reading friends’ posts and writing myself.
Thank goodness Mark left a system set up so I do have access. Wil ltry to get to everyone’s blogs this week.
Life is good, no major upsets. Wayne is well looked after and content as such. Thanks for your sweet comments – back soon.
After checking his bedroom and bath, I went to the desk to see where Wayne may be. The nurse said that she had just seen him, “Turn around.”
I looked and coming toward me was Wayne. He had a mile wide smile and was clapping for joy:)
So today I started packing books – we have many.
It’s very touching, this process. Also, I sorted DVD’s – our sons are coming to visit and may want some of them.
It’s interesting to see his varied range of interest in reading. Once I have sorted, I will keep the hardcovers for his office – for now.
When I returned him to his room after our walk, I said in mock horror, “I forgot to sing for you in the car. Should I sing now?” (We were walking thru the common living room)
He looked over at me with his smile, “That would clear the room!”
