We arrived back at the care home after enjoying a sunny time outdoors. A fellow who had been visiting his wife greeted Wayne and said, “Where have you been? Long time no see?”
Quick as a whip, Wayne replied,”Oh, I’ve been in and out and busy – not around too much.”
A doctor sitting nearby caught my eye and smiled.
Moments to treasure….
Good answer
Sweet moment … thanks for sharing, Jean!
Good to hear from you. Went to a lecture last night by Susan Rava author of “Swimming Solo”. She was the caretaker for her husband’s parents and her parents up their mountain.
Have ordered her book. Thought you might be interested.
Good to hear from you. Guess you never know how he will respond so when it is good it is really good:)
Jean, this is sweet and a testament to the great staying power of a gracious spirit.
Haven’t heard much from you lately – hope things are status quo. sandie
So good to hear from you. My mom and her sweet heart always had an answer similar to that. She would respond when asked what she had been doing by saying, “a little bit of this, and a little bit of that”!!!
It is a good answer. Thinking of you in your cold north, from sunny warm Florida! Take care!
I know you had to resist giving him a big hug for such a great response. It has to be such joy to catch a glimpse of the real Wayne once in a while.
Such a moment to treasure. I wish for many more of them as you go through this horrid illness that has taken so much of your beloved Wayne away.
Isn’t that amazing!! I’m glad you posted again; it has been too long.
Perfect answer. Sometimes they can just amaze you!! Such blessings in the midst of all the heartache.
Glad to see a post from you. I can imagine, when Wayne says something like this, it must seem like old times. His wit must have been something!
Sweet, sweet, sweet!
The power of spirit always reigns superior:). God bless.
