Well, a few days ago I thought that when I walked up to Wayne’s lunch table and he was eating – using a fork – properly!
Normally he is given a spoon for his meal but I was having lunch with him so we had a fork. I left he table for 10 seconds to grab a glass of milk, returned, and well, I couldn’t believe my eyes!
He used the exact same mannerisms of yore and was meticulous how he pierced his food.
To say I was hocked is an understatement.
The next day – it was over.
Do you think that he gets glimpses of memory or something? This is a rough disease to understand. Love and hugs, sandie
I’m sure you must get a big lump in your throat when you experience these little glimpses.
I know you treasure such moments.
This is such a cruel disease…just when you let go there is a little qlimmer of hope only to be dashed away.
It ‘s always the little things that touch our hearts.
Sending hugs
