Poor Wayne, he needs his eyeglasses to see everything.

We are on pair 3 since December. Yesterday I received a message from the RN that his glasses were broken. He did a good job breaking both the metal and plastic so they are trash.

frantically I left a message for the optician who makes calls to care homes – no answer. I drove into town and stopped at the first glass place I saw – they woman tried to put his lenses in various mens’ frames to no avail.then I got a brainwave! Let’s try the womens’ – perfect fit for his lenses right away. Although they are dark purple, it bothers no one and I kind of like them:) Didn’t like the $242.00 but what can we do. Any suggestions?

Whenever he goes to bed the staff now lock his glasses in the bathroom – that’s a bit of help.

Is there any kind of insurance? Sport glasses are pretty strong. Hugs.

Yikes! Can’t you get insurance to cover his glasses? Glad you thought about the women’s glasses. These days it is difficult to tell men from women’s frames anyway.

You handled that superbly! Hope they stay intact for quite some time.

Any such thing as unbreakable glasses? Surely there must be something close for all those teens who don’t take care of their glasses.

Perhaps titanium frames would be the answer. They can be twisted all ways and not break. They cost a lot, but if they lasted, it would be worth it. Otherwise, I’d buy the very cheapest frames I could find.
