So I got in line to board the plane – cell phone off like a good girl.
Ten hours later I had rented the car, checked into the hotel, sat down and ordered dinner – a very late dinner – - -
Time to check for messages while I awaited the meal.
The nightmare began and the appetite slid off the table – I nearly slid off the chair.
At the very moment we were taxiing for takeoff, Wayne fell, a rather ugly fall – in his room.
They transported to the hospital for scans as he was very “beaten” up – face, knees, ribs, hands and sore all over (eventually).
He didn’t have a skull fracture but sore all over.
Many phone calls later I was assured he was ok – my sister was an angel, as usual, and said to carry on – nothing I could do that she couldn’t do. (Retired nurse)
So I stayed although my mind was on the situation every hour. Checked in with the care home several times a day and with Sis and our MD.
Home now and he looks fine. An awesome bunch of angels, esp Sis.
